Read as Sassy and Jack are growing up in the early nineties.  Crack is just starting to boom in the town of Zion, a suburb of Chicago.  Sassy man, Jack's uncle Bang is one of the biggest dope men out there.  His love for money, women and cars and his knack for violence takes Sassy and Jack on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Bang doesn't like his women Sassy "hanging" out around the fellas, so she is always stuck with his nephew Jack.  Jack is a nickel - dime bag hustler who is taking heed to everything around him in order to eventually take over the family business.

Jack hates Sassy and thinks she is a stuck up bourgeois bitch.  But after spending so much time with each other they develop a dangerously close bond.  Sassy reminisces on how far they had come.  At one point Jack hated her, and now he's telling her he loves her and would always be loyal to her.

"I love you, Sassy.  If you killed a mutha fucker, I wouldn't even ask any questions, I'd just be like, Where we burying the body?"
